Personally i would rather they spend that money on projects here, you know simple things, like hospitals, schools, and stop the elderly from dying from the cold, not being able to heat their homes, as said simple things...
This doesn't mean we should end spending on overseas aid.
In fact if the target or ceiling was scrapped, we could end up paying more. The Committee are objecting to the arbitary nature of how we give. 0.7% of our GDP rather than a bugetted allotment of money to areas and projects that can be assessed to deliver the most benefit.

As I stated, it's my firm belief that half of the aid/charity donations made to the bottomless pit a.k.a. Africa (especially the Horn of Africa) ought to be spent on birth control, before it's too late.
3,4 and 5 children families in such countries are unsustainable.
