fred, as someone who's home was invaded by cockroaches, courtesy i might add of our disgusting neighbours, and yes i do know....
we had these wretched insects in our home on and off for 5 years, hard bstards to get rid of. I hate them with a passion.
With you there, em. What's worse is that the two pests are the German cockroach and the American cockroach. Damn foreigners, coming over here, living at at our expense, can't get rid of them. Can we send 'em back where they came from? No, they were born here......

Those and pharaoh ants proved almost impossible to eradicate when I lived in a block in London. Their tropical relatives in Ecuador never seemed a nuisance, though an old traveller said that you always need a second pair of boots in the tropics. Not to wear. One boot to throw on entering the room, to scare the cockroaches away, and the other to hit any stragglers with! Don't suppose those species are a hazard to health, though.

fred, they are a hazard ask any pest controller. They managed to get in food, food cupboards, and everywhere you couldn't imagine.
It would make a good plot for a film???????????

Oh, sorry it's already been done.
