He has been called a looney whose beliefs belong to some primitive tribe because he is a Mormon. Not because of his politics which are the normal Republic ideals.
Similar to when you say the muzzies are barbaric and medeaval.
I'm quite open minded when it comes to people with whose views I disagree.
I don't in any way agree with the Guardian's political stance, nor its editorial policies ... and yet I buy it every day.
Mitt Romney, however, is mad as a box of frogs.
But his party has a tradition of loonies ... "nuke Iran" (Santorum) ... "dinosaurs did not exist and planet Earth is 6,000 years old" (Palin) ... and these people want to run the Western world.
/// Similar to when you say the muzzies are barbaric and

First and foremost I have never called them 'Mussies', and secondly the Islamic faith have proven to be barbaric and medieval by their very recent actions.
What have been the international consequences of Romney belonging to the Mormon faith?
He may have said things that others do not agree with but there is no need for some to call him "a loony" or "as mad as a box of frogs".
As much as some would like to say that it is not a 'party thing', it is obvious that it is just that, the Left being nasty towards the Right, hence "But his party has a tradition of loonies".
I thoroughly recommend any of the South Park episodes - available on Youtube - dealing with Mormonism, Romney's faith. I love the recurring theme-song which initially sounds like a sort of drumbeat, dum-dum-dum-dum-dum, but really means dumb-dumb-dumb-dumb-dumb!
/// I thoroughly recommend any of the South Park episodes - available on Youtube - dealing with Mormonism, Romney's faith.///
Ah, now if you are going to put up such an intelligent argument to all of this by recommending such intellectual sources such as South Park, I will bow out gracefully.
Don't be so sure about Romney, there is a huge concensus in the US that is anti Obama. As we have seen in the past one wrong statement or flippant remark can be costly.
Sometime in the summer there will be 3 televised debates these will have a ig effect on the outcome.
As in every country there are dyed in the wool party affiliates, but there are an awful lot of undecideds and these ultimaltly will decide the winner. The problem is getting to vote.
I agree it looks like a shoo in for Obama today, but "there is many a slip, tween cup and lip"
JJ I have to disagree with you with regard to Mitt Romney I don't think a 'box of frogs' is an appropriate term of description. I prefer a 'sackful of ferrets' as they are a bit more dangerous than frogs :-)
why do you think Romney is dangerous - I want to see the "logic" behind these claims - he was thought to be a good governor of Massachussets.... He's no more dangerous than Obama is.
The one piece of good news is that Palin is out - for the moment
