/// Producers avoided showing pictures of abusive fans. Instead ITV filled half the screen with sombre images from Anfield stadium, ///

I wonder if these repulsive shouts of 'Murderers' would have been treated with the same obvious indifference, had they been racial connected shouts?

These abusive fans should have been shown, and action taken so as to ban them from attending further matches, especially the Cup Final.

joko ( what do you mean 'how did non liverpool fans get tickets?' ANYONE can buy a ticket - they do not check you are a genuine supporter! )

Have you ever been to a match never mind a cup final

( ANYONE can buy a ticket )

What a joke
AOG, I haven't turned anything into a slanging match. You were unaware of the "Murderers" chants referring to Heysel 1985. I provided a link (Did you read it?) .These chants have been going on scince 1985, I have been to matches and heard them. A full 14 years before Hillsborough. What is not reasonable in my replies?
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink!
<<Sipowicz, Zeuhl, Saki, Why can't you three just join in a perfectly reasonable debate, without the need to turn it into some sort of slanging match? >>

tranlation:

perfectly reasonable debate = supporting Old Git's prejudices and distortions of the facts

slanging match = presenting reasoned argument and facts that contradict Old Git

Ho! Ho! What fun!
For people who think anyone can get a ticket to a Liverpool Final watch this link

Just a point of interest. The Mounted officers on duty that day at the Liverpool turnstiles were Merseyside officers drafted in for the day. The idea being that those officers would understand how their own people would behave. Just a fact, no ulterior motives for saying it.

/// lol, classic AOG, tells people off for slinging insults then slings a load himself. ///

I believe in attacking my attackers, 'like for like'.

What is your answer, running away with your tail between your legs?
Ships? I see no ships!
Oh dear. what a puerile response Mrs

I say again. stirring - and stupid comments.
And you saying anyone can get a ticket for a Liverpool Final is a so silly i nearly spit my tea over the computer
Also you changing my name to mrs is that not puerile
I wasn't attacking you AOG, I was providing you information that you were unaware of. You still don't seem to understand the meaning of the "Murderers" chant, or do you just choose to ignore!

haha, wow...you are either a troll or an idiot mrs... neither is desirable

you know exactly what i mean when i say anyone can buy a ticket - being obtuse just makes you look puerile - unless you are honestly suggesting that unless you are a true, genuine liverpool fan, they will not take your cash, and will refuse you a ticket - if you believe that then you are a fool - but we have already established that...

I refer you to the comment regarding Heysel- "The violence was not caused by Liverpool fans either, it was people from the south, from Portsmouth, Birmingham and London who had come over intent on a fight" - proof that non genuine supporters bought tickets...

and calling you mrs is just short for your full name - because i couldnt be arsed to type it out.... again being obtuse makes you look puerile.
very glad the club are taking this stance with this - i hope they are iidentified

joko ( haha, wow...you are either a troll or an idiot mrs... neither is desirable )

Let me explain , i will type slow , i hope you will then understand how stupid your answer is when you say anyone can buy a ticket.

Seventies Liverpool cup final tickets, first the players and officials then executive members, then season ticket holders, then fans

the fan would need to have a ticket stub from an earlier match in the season with the last digits matching the digits that LFC have printed

LFC would then ask for fans with another set of digits on a ticket to send in

if any tickets left they would do the same again with different set of digits

This could mean that you went to all league home and away matches all season but still never got a cup final ticket

I think they were still doing this system for the 85 cup final

Ask any Liverpool fan and you will see i am telling the truth, unlike you who makes such stupid statements as anyone can buy a ticket.

I do not think that you have any idea about football and just post to stir the sh!te
joko ( unless you are honestly suggesting that unless you are a true, genuine liverpool fan, they will not take your cash, and will refuse you a ticket - if you believe that then you are a fool - but we have already established that... )

Read the above post who is the fool now
Wembley current limit of 25,000-per club of the 90,000 cup final crowd

I think Liverpool get more than 25,000 for each home game and the tickets will soon go .
Look, i am not the one trying to defend the indefensible here!

the fact is - many hooligans bought tickets to the game at Heysel who were not genuine supporters of LFC - IT IS A FACT
if it is impossible - as you seem to claim - how did they get them then?
you are aguing that something cannot happen - when it already has!

so whatever the ins and outs of the ticket buying systems - its irrelevant.

it is also irrelevant to what the chelsea supporters did yesterday.

and you are dead right - i couldnt care less about football - the game - but i know about my home town and about my friend who died at hillsborough and my friends whose other friends died at hillsborough and of the other friends who were there at the time, and are still to this day haunted by the experience.
i would also add that i did not say those at heysel were not there as liverpool supporters - i said they were not FROM liverpool... and they had gone there to fight rather than for the game
