He was found guilty, that's good enough for me.

Glad you have so much faith in the justice system!
No need to go back as far as the Guildford Four and Birmingham Six; last week will do...

I have 270 thoughts on this matter.
If he was indeed innocent which I think he was personally I am very sorry for him as I would be anyone who suffered such a death and I really don't understand the posters on here who seems to think that wishing evil even on someone who commits evil deeds themselves makes anything any better. It doesn't it just makes it worse.
ummm - a mistake, I meant inverted commas .......
Nonsense
I don't care whether you understand it or not NOX, I do and that's good enough for me !!
Excellent, you'd fit right in where I'm from Chaptazbru, it's treat there with all the other people with similar ideas to yourself.
Good, nice to know !! I still stand by what I said ....
As is your right Chaptazbru, and equally I stand by mine- two wrongs however many times it's been tried throughout history don't make a right, ( and it's been tried a few times let's be fair...)
Whatever you say NOX
Can't believe you're sticking up for the biggest convicted mass murderer in British history nox.
I find it quite an insult to those innocents blown out of the sky and those who perished on the ground in Lockerbie.
It seems even evil has people who'll defend their actions.Very sad.
I don't personally believe him to be guilty WBA and even if he was i don';t wish an unpleasant death on him since it would do no good at all, and certainly wouldn't bring anyone back, nothing to do with 'sticking up for evil'- just a pointless action which will do no good to anyone, but I re-iterate, I don't consider him to be guilty.
Totally agree WBA. The only ones we should be concerned with are the innocent victims and their families. This man means nothing to me. Go on NOX get on your soapbox again, but I have said all I'm going to say on the matter, so looks like you'll get the last word !!!
I'm not on a soapbox Chap, I just have a different opinion to you, if that's okay with you of course?

"...Fragments of clothing, found wrapped around the timing device, linked him to the attack...."

Remember the loss of 270 innocent lives.
BBC News tonight - quote: ''Lockerbie BOMBER Abdelbaset al-Megrahi has died.''

So he is guilty of being a bomber!
Just because you have been found guilty by a court does not mean you are actually guilty of anything, if you don't understand that simple fact there isn't really any point in trying to address anything to you. I say again, in MY opinion he is innocent, you are of course entitled to YOUR opinion.
Just found a link briefly explaining the issues with both the trial and other aspects of the case you might be interested in- although I won't hold my breath...

there's also an account of some of the doubts here

Remember: if Megrahi was innocent, then the real killer is still around somewhere, while people waste their anger on an innocent man.
