lockerbie bomber .. released by scottish govt. to go home to libya as he had prostate cancer
I'm sure there will be plenty of folk happy to hear it. Personally I always had my doubts about his guilt. The case against him was very flimsy and even if he was involved, I doubt he acted alone.
Your attitude to his death may be coloured by the fact that he may have been innocent....................
Ah righto excelsior, then I am glad he is dead and as chaptazbru says good riddance.
I doubt that the public will ever know the truth about the bombing and his part in it (if any).

We will certainly never know the full details of the murky deals done over his release.
Whatever he has or has not done in the past, his own suffering is now over. If there is one, may the good Lord have mercy on his soul.
think he was a scapegoat, however , he was I think involved somehow.
It was the longest three months on record,
Given the number of people who thought it was all a put-up job, perhaps he will have "I told you I was sick" on his tombstone
He was convicted and he may well be guilty .....
He was a functionary who probably deserved a better master.

I am... but there is also a gravestone in Key West, Florida, with that on it.

And it seems elsewhere

He would have been dead in 3 months had he remained in the UK as a drug Abirateron which had been shown to increase life span in prostate cancer was not available.

He was given this drug on his return to Libya and the rest, as they say, is history.
Evidence for the folk at NICE then so his death did some good...
Hope he burns in hell.
Well said WBA - it's the victims and the victims families that have ALL my sympathy.
Jim Swire - the father of a victim - thinks he was innocent
