The Rochdale Groomers - evidence of hypocrasy
I read about this story yesterday, but left it until today to ask this question, because I wanted to see if those who so rightly condemned the Rochdale Muslims would post questions about this story:

But nothing...nada...silence. The story is covered in the Daily Mail, The Sun and the Manchester Evening News, so it's difficult to miss.
So I ask - why isn't the News section alight with righteous condemnation? Yes, the woman has not been found guilty, but that didn't stop the flood of 'questions' relating to Rochdale...

The point of this post is that people with an axe to grind pick and choose the topics presenting an unbalanced view of the problems facing this country to suit their own prejudices

I am alight with righteous condemnation about the stories in both links.
Actually, that's probably not quite true - I think the crimes are evil (if the one in the first link is proven), just as much as the crimes in the Rochdale case were evil, and I really couldn't give a tinker's cuss about about the colour of the people perpetrating the crimes.
But that said, it was suggested in the Rochdale threads that the crimes were purely about sex - and I don't think that was the case. Sure sex was a factor, but I also think the colour of the victims was a factor and the two can't be separated.

For the same reason that one rape, one paedophile offence (I mean true paedophile), one internet grooming or one burglary isn't big news, but a conspiracy set up to commit many such offences and which succeeds with several, is.
And the Rochdale case was marked by having a distinct cultural element, which made it odd. The crime itself was unusual anyway. You get cases of gangs treating women who are known to them as sex objects, but it's unusual, or unique, to find a group of men picking up strangers and abusing or raping them as part of a continuing plan.
