Good lord.

I'm not touching this one with a bargepole.

Good luck JTH.
So is that 3 reports of rape.................and how big is the army?
Is the amount higher or lower than the national averaged of about .27 cases per 1000 people?

Funny isn't it?

Muslims involved in grooming girls and pitchforks are out

Rapists in the army and suddenly everybody wants to talk statistics!
Sorry jake...............did I miss you answering Chuck's question?
Your third link isn't about rape.
I didn't get pitch forks out for the "grooming" case either, that was also an isolated case that in no way represented the general behaviour of that part of society and I said as much at the time.
[For the record, I think Jake is making a point about stereotyping, which - as he has said before - he feels is being unfairly done for Muslims on the basis of the Rochdale case. The reason he has written this about soldiers is because he is trying to criticise the same logic by applying it to a group that he feels is more fashionable among ABers than Muslims. He can correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think JTP has made this thread explicitly to say that soldier = rapist. He is attempting to attack the kind of reasoning that would lead someone to that conclusion, which he feels is being applied uncritically in the Rochdale case.

The reason I have chosen to painstakingly spell this out is that, unlike Jake, I don't think the irony in his post is going to be picked up on. If my interpretation of his post is incorrect, I hope he'll tell me if I'm wrong.]
Good lord! A lot of rapists are men.

On a less flippant note, there is a whole world of difference between one man of any occupation committing rape or rapes; and a group of predatory men working together to share round under age girls for sex.
Looks like the army has more than its fair share of rapists and paedophiles.

Will they still be classed as heroes?
Well Messi................you're still classed as a pratt.
I would say there were more Rappists than Rapists....
Jake the peg, the condemnation of such acts as typical of an entire country would be the propaganda of war:

"These crimes are not the personal crimes of a few of your soldiers but this is the real face of your governments and military organs which is being exposed to the whole world." Taliban Coverage http://www.flashpoint...afghan-children-.html

We should avoid such generic labelling (claims of racism) in the peacetime UK.
rather a contentious statement wouldn't you say.
so it was supposed to be an ironic comment, strange i and others don't seem to have taken it that way.
If you were to choose a group of unnattached young men with high testosterone levels the Army would be your first choice.

The problem with discipline and being made to conform is that it suddenly disappears when the lid is lifted. The same happens in a nunnery where a strict religious teaching causes many to go off the rails when they move on.
"strange i and others don't seem to have taken it that way."

This is exactly the reason I wrote my post...

^ THAT'S THE POINT.

I'd give up Kromvaracun - they don't get it

Good Maths Katie

Now do the same for the chances of being raped by a group of Muslims in North England?

Is anybody getting it?

*Apply the same standards to muslems as to soldiers*
