Am I the only person who is sick to the back teeth of hearing about Eurovision and especially the UK entry by Engelbert Humperdinck. If I never hear this song again it will be too soon - absolute tosh imo.
And while I'm on my grumpy soapbox, don't get me started about the olympics or the diamond jubilee - I've got to start work at 3pm!!!
As Abe said, in precis, All the people, all the time. I'm looking forward to Sunday, we're at our daughter's on Sat pm, hadn't realise Eurorubbish still existed and they watch it. How sooon can we sneak out, feel a migraine coming on!
I'm fairly ambivalent re the Jubilee but looking forward to th'Olympics, off to watch the beefy boys rowing.
Oh!! The very idea! Not much chance now that continentals and caravanners have hatched for another season.
Yes, they're mountains and yes, that's the bonnie blooming heather but please use one of the 180 lay-bys between Perth and Inverness if you want to stare, some of us are working. :)
its well past its sell bydate ! I cringe when I hear the word mentioned and poor old Englebert in his dotage he thinks its some kind of honour !
If we had the guts to pull out I am sure a lot of other countries would too and then it could be the East Eurovision Song Contest and we wouldnt have to bother with it.
I haven't even heard our entry yet and it wasn't till a couple of days ago that I even realised it was taking place tomorrow. So no, I'm not sick of it.
You have my sympathy Douglas, I once go stuck behind a woman on the A9 delivering a cake, I knew she was delivering a cake because she had a hand written 'cake on board' sign in the back of her car.
I think it is the only time I've heard my Mother-in-Law swear.
I haven't heard the song yet but should imagine it's the usual load of rubbish so won't go out of my way to try to find it. Doesn't interest me so don't watch it.
