Exactly! It's like referring to Rule Britannia as "When Britain first".
If you said 'Robert Bruce's March To Bannockburn', which is the original title to this Robert Burns poem, most Scots wouldn't know what you were talking about.
Heathfield, when I was at school, Scottish history was largely ignored. However, times have changed and my grandsons know more about Scottish history than I ever did.

so, tomorrow is the anniversary of 7th July bombings.
I recall being told at school in the 1950s that Scotsmen if being made to feel inferior could be heard to mutter "Aye, remember Bannockburn".
Was that the last time they won anything?
