Bob Diamond falls on his sword, not before time.
Shame on the banking system for failing their customers, and pursuing a regime of greed. As one of their long time customers i am seriously considering taking any money out and putting it in somewhere safe, under the mattress perhaps..

mick, so it will. He will be going in front of the treasury committee, wonder who he will dob in, hopefully it will be amongst others saint Gordon. I was following the news where a treasury committee member was saying that some time ago Bob Diamond said that if there any problems at all with heading up Barclays he would quit and forgo his pension, wonder if he will stick to it.

complain if they do, as i did when the bstards tried to charge me for an overdraught that had nothing to do with me. I got them to back down, so should everyone.
my husband is thinking of taking his money elsewhere too ...

cath, time they took care of their core customers, and not stick them with ever increasing charges, with businesses going bust because they can't get a loan, or the rates are so high, they would be considered loan sharks if they were not on our high street.
