So now our overstretched police force (sorry service) is now investigating the 'choc-ice' comment after complaints from the public.
I wonder if the originator of this comment will also be charged and sent for trial, and if he is I wonder if he will also get off?
It is time this petty name calling was no longer illegal, the only winners from this ridiculous law are the legal profession..

So why aren't you?
You state "Ask any mixed race person and they'll say they are black".
You are so completely wrong on that, that it's a bit jaw-dropping.
I don't know your particular circumstances, but having known quite a few people from mixed backgrounds, they certainly do not refer to themselves as black or white, but as either mixed race or biracial.
Do you have much interaction with mixed race people in order to have come to this conclusion?

But couldn't you also argue that if the police didn't investigate this, there would be an outcry along the lines of "How comes Cole can get away with this? Bet the police would have investigated were he white..."
Isn't this the level playing field (no pun intended) that you want?
Or am I missing something?

/// But earlier this week you stated that a company should be free to hire whomsoever they choose without having to work within the construct of race laws. ///
Just so that I can be sure you are not quoting my words out of contention, can you please remind me in which thread I was supposed to have made them?

Not completely wrong it seems the President of the United States personally considers himself Black, and are we not told he is the first Black President of the US?
/// I don't know your particular circumstances, but having known quite a few people from mixed backgrounds, they certainly do not refer to themselves as black or white, but as either mixed race or biracial.///
That is only going on what you say, which could be a complete fabrication so as to support your argument.
I equally know of mixed race persons who class themselves as Black, and are forever going on about tracing their African roots.
And finally you have not addressed the matter of, "can a mixed race person play the 'race card' if they are not Black"?

I now see how I confused matters.

Note the quotes. I'm not saying that myself, I'm just saying that some people would say that it's all double-standards.
The police were right to investigate what Cole allegedly said/wrote.
