/// You could ask to work from home, or you could of course offer to take your child to work (as suggested by the Prime Minister), but that may not be suitable for many jobs. Whichever option your employer chooses, they should offer the same to everyone in the company. ///

It was an interesting documentary and followed the cab firm Addison Lee's call centre. Basically they were losing a lot of good valuable staff who never came back from maternity leave. They let the staff bring their babies in as an experiment and based their decisions as to whether it would carry on on a survey of all the staff.
The experiment found that babies did not affect overall productivity much, but when they reached 24 months they disrupted the work fliw.
Addison Lee to their credit decided to let the parents bring their small vabies and installed a nursery for the older ones.
