Maybe it's tradition- or was Harry (Henry) representing the Queen?
she was watching on her TV !
He actually said 'Your Majesties'......I imagine there would have been foreign monarchs in the stadium.
Because he's a smarmy git.
probably was meant to have been when the script was typed. but thought better of it,more like feet up time with a large gin at "home"
Harry was her designate to represent her - and she was listening, watching her 160 inch screen with corgis laying across her and Philip on the floor. "If he doesn't use the proper titles, Phil, it'll be out of the Stadium with him and down to the Tower - after all it's only a few hundred yards away."
Where was Prince Charles then - and the Duckess of Cornwall.......tucked up in bed watching? Surely not.......rabbiting more like.

thirded here. an annoying man (Coe)
Coe worked hard on the original bid and was instrumental in bringing the games to London. He has also worked very hard on the preparations and during the last fortnight. I thought his speech was a bit long and self congratulatory, but we did put on a great show so maybe it was justified.
wouldn't it have been great if Boris had made a speach !!!love him !!
speech even !
he wasn't congratulating himself, though, he was congratulating "us". I thought that - after the pre-Games hiccups involving G4S, the ticketing and the Orbit - everything went brilliantly.

I see a Belarusan has lost her gold this morning (drugs test), so NZ are now one gold behind Australia. That will cheer our Australian friends up. It was suggested in the paper at the weekend that we console them by calling them a "plucky island nation", which would be kind.
Notice the pecking order with the surfs at the bottom of the list? How the rest of the world watching made of it must have been amused.

No - his high wire act was enough
Bazile

/// No - his high wire act was enough ///

I thought his finale was going to be setting the Union Flag alight.

It came very close to the flaming cauldron when he was waving it about.

he gets paid around £400,0000pa, I should hope so

a lot of people work just as hard and for a lot longer yet dont get anywhere near that
Baz

// Lord Coe is to be the UK's Olympics legacy ambassador, Prime Minister David Cameron has announced.

Mr Cameron said the Games had "lifted the whole country" and Lord Coe had been its "head and heart". //

So he keeps his nice salary for another four years.
you think everyone who works hard should get the same, baz? You a communist, by any chance?
Not communist or surf......should be SERF
