Yes. And it could go towards compensating people who had lost money by investing in Polly Peck, including at least one ABer.
sandy...LOL
You too, Sqad?
Assuming the 1m was part of the 28m stolen ( quite how that could be proved , i dont know ) , then yes .

However i dont suppose they will .
sandy yepp £15, 000 worth of hard earned cash.
No. Did the party know the money was stolen, no.

Also if someone gave you money, you spent it, then are told that it was stolen money, would you be able or willing to repay it, especially if it was a considerable sum of money
The Lib-Dems are faced with a similar poser. They took money from a crook. It's a question that would tax the wits of a team of philosophers.
//No. Did the party know the money was stolen, no.//

Well they are aware now and i'm sure there is at least one of the anonymous tory donors out there ; who can afford to put their hands in their pockets again to help their pals
No. Why should Nadir be given any money at all ?
then you better ask the Labour party if they mind giving back some of their donations to wealthy donors of the past

I think Labour returned Bernie Eccleston's £1million donation and he wasn't convicted of stealing £millions.
//then you better ask the Labour party if they mind giving back some of their donations to wealthy donors of the past //

erm .. why should i - what has the labour party got to do with me ?

Has the labour party accepted any donations from anyone that has been convicted for fraud ?
not you personally, but if there is money to be paid back, then there are a lot of people who need to do it.
Mmm...Lord Ashcroft - ex Deputy Chairman of the Tory Party, I believe, and major fund-provider - should be in the frame here, I'd say. We are led to believe he assured Hague that he would pay British taxes as part of the award of a peerage to him but then decided not to bother. As a result, whatever money he gave to them thereafter was really ours.
2 million from unions, that means Ed Milliband owes them big time.
Question Author
Are you suggesting the Unions stole £2million and gave it to the Labour Party. Do you have any evidence?
for Gods sake ALL parties take donations and don't ask where it comes from. Regardless of the amount. If Nadir made multi smaller donations rather than one large onE no-one would be any the wiser. They all take the money with eyes and ears firmly shut. By the way Nadir is an odious cretin!!!!
Gromit.....and what evidence do you have the the Nadir million was a stolen million. State funding is the only way to stop this circus but then no-one wants their tax to go to political parties!!!!
no, but can those people opt out of donating to their union, by paying union dues.
i agree about Nadir, he is horrible, so creepy.
