21 Years for killing 77 people, how on earth is that justice? Why didn't he get 77 life sentences?

Under Norwegian law he is entitled to a parole hearing every five years and if they consider him no longer dangerous he could be released.....so on the basis its not some uselesss handwringer of a physchologist or whatever they will use over there to assess him he has virtually no chance of getting out.
i wanted to smack him in his chops as he was smirking all the way through today's proceedings. just a nice, curt smack in the kisser...x

/// AOG, how is he going to do that from jail? ///

I was wondering about that, but it was just something they said on the radio.

But anything could be possible when one takes a look around his accommodation for the next 21 years,

It works out at just over 3 months per life. So if he had kllled just one person.....
If they ever were to free him, he wouldn't be alive for long.
Hopkirk, not sure that would happen, the people of Norway don't seem to be the type to be vengeful, or i could be very mistaken. I felt terribly sorry for those survivors, their stories are heart-rending.
