Bad news then good news

I got home from work yesterday and Tigger didn't seem her usual self. She was lifeless and didn't want her food. I gave her her insulin as normal but she still seemed down. I gave her some honey as instructed by the vet when she was first diagnosed with diabetes and she perked up a bit. She then went downhill again later on in the evening and I gave her some more honey which helped again and she seemed normal today. Anyway, I took her to the vet earlier and she measured her glucose and the good news is that it was low and that Tigger might be coming out of the diabetes. Apparently its quite common for cats to recover from diabetes.

Just thought I'd share my good news :o)

Arrr that good news, Tiggerblue - my late Mother-in-Law's Cat cost her a fortune in daily insulin injections, around 300 quid per month.

That's a nice little tale (or should it be tail?). Cats seem so small and vulnerable when they are ill. It will be good that you will not have to do the injections - catching the patient is not always easy.

Did you hear that postdog is having to get Charlie put to sleep tomorrow. Poor old lad (Charlie).
