Where is the outrage
Avfew months ago, there was (appropriate) outrage at the Rotherham 'child grooming' story, which saw a number of men, of Pakistani origin sent to jail for having sex with underage girls.
However, there seems to be a suspiciously large chasm of silence about THIS case

Mick, "Well the most likely candidate for putting up a thread of this nature, was obviously never going to run with this particular one. "... in my humble opinion the most likely candidate did post this thread. Sp is the yin to AOG's yang. AOG is always posting about outrages caused by immigrants, blacks, asians, and gays whilst sp is always posting the, "why...

They're white.....but you knew that.
I have a much more contentious view on this....
....yes, he's a 'responsible' adult, but, she is.....well I don't really know; but I do know what a willfull, manipulative adolescent I was.
I'm not condoning child abuse but I really do think that the individuals need to be taken into consideration.
And before anyone asks.......no I wouldn't be happy if it was my daughter....

Chasm of silence? It's in the Daily Mail! (And one man looks suspiciously 'foreign', so there!) These were individuals, not a conspiracy, and were acting alone. Thet did not force themselves upon the girls, who, it seems, were sometimes of the mind that prostitution was normal for girls of their age. It is not quite as bad, though serious, as some other cases.

Absolutely.
I am curious, because the Rotherham case generated seven posts in five days, but this very similar case (where the perpetrators were mostly white) has been ignored.
It gives credence to the idea that these stories will only spark the interest of those to the right of the socio-political spectrum, if the criminals are non-white (something that has been repeatedly refuted on AB).
To quote a better man thn I - "I just want a level playing field".

"The men did not know each other, and carried out their activities individually."
These underage girls were not groomed by a gang, this men did not know each other,
Because of the environment they were raised in, some of the girls though sex in exchange for money and treats was normal behaviour.
The report suggests that at least some of these girls were prostituting themselves:
"I am not dealing with a team of predators and there are no allegations that they forced themselves on the girls.
But you did not only take advantage of these vulnerable girls, you did so to satisfy your middle-aged desires to have sex with them and you were prepared to pay the paltry sums they charged."
This is a sad reflection on society where under age girls are working as prostitutes, with uncaring parent(s) or in the care system. Where they believe prostitution is an ok way of getting by.
Throughout history some men have enjoyed sex with young girls; it is only in modern history that it has been illegal.
There is no comparison between this case and the Rotherham case.

Some very valid points there - but at the end of the day, there's one horrible similarity...in both cases, girls who should be downloading Justin Beiber albums in their bedrooms and fretting over thir latest pimple, we're having sexual intercourse with men who are so old as to not know who Justin Beiber is.
If I were the parent of one of he Rotherham girls, or one of the girls groomed by this new group, I doubt whether their methods would really impact on my heartbreak.

Unless of course it is just an oversight.

I'm not absolutely sure of whether I should be outraged over your general finger pointing..... tbh .

But why DO certain people think like that? Is it convenience? Upbringing? Laziness?
There are ABSOLUTELY loads of 'right-thinking' people who have the wit and intelligence to analyse and dismiss bog standard prejudices - problem is (like with the hard left of the 80s), their voices tend to get drowned out.

sp, you are assuming these girls have parents who care, or have any contact with their parents.
In a perfect world children would have sensible parents who loved and cared for them, were responsible and actively parented.
Sadly some children live with drug addicts; prostitutes; drunkards; paedophiles; lunatics; inept and incapable.
Some children have been through the system, living in children's home or with countless foster parents where they never seem to fit in.
Some 14 year olds have seen more of 'life' than many pensioners.
It is a fact that there are under 16s prostituting themselves all over the country. Some stand on street corners picking up strangers; some make money from men they have come to know. Some are boys. Some stand outside schools at the end of the school day, wearing their school uniforms to pick up men.
Yes, it is abhorrent. It is wrong. Something should be done about it.
What are YOU doing about it?

Just a thought...would you feel outrage if this were another story about a Pakistani grooming gang and a post HAD been put up?
Just curious to see whether there's any validity in me pointing out (what I believe to be) a certain level f hypocrasy here?
Not saying I'm right - no-one should e that arrogant...it just seems that AB is a bit one-sided when it comes to these stories.
It totally might btpe my skewed viewpoint though...

I deliberately left this for a whole day to see whether something would be posted
sp, I was thinking that you had.
Perhaps a better option could have been to just post the thread for the right reason (it being news)
And waited for the outrage. If that outrage was then not forthcoming, you would have proved your point.
