she didnt cheat taxpayers she stole from them, and no doubt shes sorry......sorry she got caught

i'll bet she soon makes a "full recovery" though

Another british justice farce.
I'm aware that my last post seemed very harsh - I have nothing but sympathy for people who are genuinely suffering from the appalling, crippling effects of clinical depression.

This all just seems a bit 'convenient' though ...
whilst I have every sympathy with people and illness this appears to be more than a little iffy.
what do people want the legal system to do, then?

Keep calling in psychiatrists until they find one who'll tell them what they want to hear?

Unfortunately the pliant doctor who let the police off the hook over Ian Tomlinson's death no longer seems to be available.
As I said at the bottom of the previous page - leave the case 'on the file' and just wait.

If she gets better then proceed to sentencing, if she doesn't then her illness is real and is punishment enough.

Again, for my understanding: Is it now the case that, were she to recover her mental faculties, the guilty verdict could actually be passed?

Does anyone know if she ever repaid any of the money that was fiddled? She flipped homes and carried out home improvements at the taxpayers expense, so were she to sell any of these properties at a profit, do the taxpayers get a proportion of that?

This does seem eerily reminiscent of what happened with Ernest Saunders, as I think Sandy alluded to in an earlier post.

I seem to recall Saunders made an amazing recovery and went on to have a successful antique business.

Unless shes under 24h secret camera surveillance then its pretty damn easy to fake depression and fool a lot of these medics these , enough people do it.

All politicians are actors, they could have gone on the stage, but went into politics as its easy money. just my opinion, but look at parliment, they are all out to get a laugh at the other parties expense, its more like a variety show.
