I disagree with what is happening here.

People are using 'public order offenses' things that are not a risk to public order but rather things that offend large portions of the public.

There have been a number of such cases and it's rather disingenuous.


Behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress is pretty much what this seems to be and is punishable by a level 3 fine.

I don't know enough details as to where he wore it or any other behaviour - but 8 months is excessive for just wearing a T shirt no matter what it says
If he were attacked by someone who disagrees with the sentiment and left seriously injured, guess who he'd want to investigate and find the culprit!
Wouldn't this be considered incitement to hatred?

But not incitement to hatred of the police as far as I know
8 months is way over the top. A fine would have been sufficient.
He deserves every minute of his sentence!!!
