So Very Sad
It has been reported that the nurse who answered the phone and was duped by the prank regarding Kate in hospital has been found dead. Such bloody sad news.

That is terrible news, just goes to show how far some hoaxes can finish up.
One more 'Angel of Mercy' that we can least afford to lose.

i agree that there must be more to her mental health than just this - if you would kill yourself ONLY for this reason then you are a fool - there must be other reasons.
i bet 99% of others taking that call would have felt a bit daft, then brushed it off ... even if theyd been in trouble for it....its unfortunate that the one that took it must have been unable to handle it.
she didnt actually do much wrong either really, she just rerouted the call - she passed it to someone else to deal with - shes just a nurse, not trained in national security issue - she probably felt it wrong to start questioning the queen.
The prank was probably mildly amusing and certainly not meant in any malicious troublesome way - and many people thoguht it was funny - it was just a daft joke and i dont think you can blame them for her death at all.
Many people who laughed at the time are now claiming to be up in arms in outrage saying it was not funny at all and that the callers should be 'done by the authorities' - would they still be saying that had someone not died?
no probably not...
there was no real harm done by the prank, it just flagged up the need for more checks to be done.
it is a great shame if this girl felt so embarrassed that she had to die

terrible and I hope those two broadcasters feel sick to the pit of their stomachs in that they pushed her over the top - as gromit pointed out, she obviously had issues (but nothing to laugh about), but then that is what can happen, a crass remark or action can be the proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back.
Her poor family and colleagues and also the Cambridges.
One question though - wouldn't it be likely that one of her colleagues sensed something was wrong and should she have been assigned to them?
