Should the Church encourage separatism by providing special masses for openly gay congregates?
/// The cancellation of the masses will be a cause of dismay for gay Catholics who often complain that they struggle to feel welcome in a church that takes a firm line against any form of same sex attraction. ///
And how would one know that a fellow worshipper was gay, unless they openly flaunted the fact?

The report is flawed and hasn't actually explained what the Soho masses were for. They were never 'exclusively for gays'. They were for gay men, lesbians and their families and friends. The reason they were set up was because of the Catholic church's hardline attitude the church has against gay relationships.
It was a place where Catholic families could go and worship and receive the mass.

If you read the section from the report that I attached to my thread, you would see that it says
/// gay Catholics who often complain that they struggle to feel welcome in a church that takes a firm line against any form of same sex attraction ///
So why would anyone notice that they were gay so as to make them unwelcome?
Hence my question,
And how would one know that a fellow worshipper was gay, unless they openly flaunted the fact?
Please try and keep up.

and perhaps you should try and answer a question
i repeat:
/do you flaunt your sexuality aog?
or are you deliberately vague about being married to a female?
which is it? /
Perhaps I need to spell it out for you..
What do you mean by 'flaunt'
If a gay couple go to church together, is one introducing the other as 'my partner' flaunting? Should they say 'my friend' in order not to flaunt?
Hence my question to you; if you ever went to church with your wife, would either of you have introduced the other as 'my friend' or would you 'flaunt' your sexuality by using the terms husband or wife?
