What a lovely Spring day we have enjoyed today here in the East Midlands. Wall to wall sunshine and a lovely sunset, temps although colder than yesterday's 12 degrees, didn't seem bad at all in the sunshine. We went to Wollerton Hall near Nottingham, can really recommend it, beautiful grounds and lake and very interesting house from 16th century housing a wonderful Natural History collection. It is run by Nott City Council and amazingly ..... it is free!
Beautiful day Ann.....lost something important this morning.....broke a toe.....had another flipping disaster buying on line and put on 3lbs...but still a lovely day.
Glad yours was good. x
No Shoota - must have missed that. Which room was it in? If it was in the basement/kitchen area you had to book on a tour to see that (also the Prospect Room/top turret) and we were too late. We fully intend to go back as there was so much to see there and we were so impressed by the interactive videos etc telling the history etc.
Read about your toe Gness - ouch bet that was painful, poor you! I broke one of mine two years ago, hobbled around for ages, luckily it was in October so was able to wear flip flips.
It was a long time ago Ann before the 'Moorcroft' thing took off so I can't guarantee it is still there but it was upstairs, 1st floor I think.
I remember looking at the pieces and thinking how lovely they were before I had even heard the name and before all the Flog It/Dickinson hysteria.
