Looking Good & Feeling Great!
8 Answers
I have lovely clothes, lots of lovely clothes, but I feel that they are too dressy to wear to work. But i want to be dressy. Usually I just wear my jeans and a top (like today) and I felt so butch. I want to be pretty and organised.
When I get dressed up I look great, usually at the weekends.
I was home for Christmas staying at my mothers, and every day I was looking fantastic, and it makes a difference on how you carry yourself, and how other people perceive you.
I dont sleep very well at night time, when I go to sleep it's always too late and I never fall asleep straight away, it takes me a while, I find myself un-organised. I dont compare myself to other girls, but I do look at them and see how beautifully turned out they are every day in work, and I wish I could be more organised.
Anyway, that is my moan for the evening. Must get more pro-active and make more of an effort to look great. I'm scared I meet a nice man whilst looking great, and cant keep up the pace with the beauty regime, and he sees me as lazy.

Why don't you try laying out the clothes you want to wear the next day before you go to bed. No man worth his salt would expect you to walk around like a fashion model all the time - take a look at some of the stars in their jeans and tops without any makeup on. He'll love you just for being you, not for what you wear.
While men may be attracted at first to the package, they look for much more than that just like you do. Lifelong partnership is in no way about maintaining the fabulous outside. You will look after each other when you have noro and flu, hear each other fart, share a bathroom, see each other first thing in the morning.
I am in no way well turned out, was behind the door when they were handing out chic or even smart, but i find it helpful in looking "okay" with minimum effort to have a uniform consisting of a limited colour palette in the colours that suit me and go together, pull together neutrals, and shoes that go with. I don't wear makeup and my hair is cut in an easy care style.
An example is that I have one style of everyday jeans/trousers that suit me (M and S jeggings) I never wear skirts or dresses but the same principle applies. I have them in denim for everyday, grey and black and a range of brighter colours. I have grey, purple, red and turquoise sweatshirts so even at my most casual the colours go and I look tidy. To posh up I have scoop neck tops and shirts in soft toning colours. For really posh I have black and navy velvet jeggings with black suede chelsea boots.
This is probably not your style at all but do you get the idea? No brains mix and match and ONLY the colours and styles that suit you 100%. You can pick out what to wear in seconds and KNOW that you look good.

As Oscar Wilde said, "you can make up for being occasionally a little overdressed by being absolutely always overeducated". Which is what I used to tell people at my last job when I was "power-dressed" and they looked as if they had got out of bed and popped into a nearby jumble-sale on the way to the office in order to cover their nakedness with any old rags.
