OK I dont mind Charlie, he's harmless but did anyone see him and Camilla on the news, travelling on the Tube today at Kings Cross? Surrounded by fussing bowing @rse licking hangers on, who wouldn't let any ticket-paying peasants near him, he couldn't even take off his own coat without someone helping him, it makes me sick. He travelled one stop, had a whole carriage to himself and the carriage was spotlessly clean. Poor Charlie, he doesn't know what the real world is. What on earth was the point of it all? But its not his fault, its all the hangers on I can't stand ... and we pay their wages !

I assume it was London Transport who invited him to celebrate how many years of the underground system.............
Thanks for sharing...
I'm not a fan of Charles per se but think he does have a vast knowledge of the real world, especially through his work with the Prince of Wales trust and other projects.
I don't think he needs a grasp of the tube system, he's not Dutch.
To be fair to London Underground, apart from the usual copies of 'Metro' (and perhaps the odd sweet wrapper or two) I usually find Tube trains to be very clean.

At least a journey on the Tube probably didn't cause as much disruption as the Royal train does. Like aircraft, trains have 'slots' in the timetable. At peak times there are no free slots on main lines but the Palace still insists on running the Royal train during those periods. However it's no just a single slot that has to be found in the schedule; the rule is that the train must run with an empty slot ahead of it and another one behind it. Putting those three slots into the schedule typically messes up a train operator's schedule for around 10 hours (through knock-on problems), even if the Royal train is only going a few miles along the tracks!
Smurf Poor old bugger, here he is trying to mingle and you are running him down, no-one is aress licking I suspect he wouldn't mind being left to his own devices, except there are people who are waiting for a chance to show him how polite the general public really are.
I remember a comedian saying some years ago that "the Queen must think all the world smells like new paint" because where ever she goes has been freshly face lifted, and I do think that happens a lot, do they ever go anywhere that has'nt been carefully done up? good thing too, at least some places get a paint job that would be "to expensive' otherwise.
WAS the clown of London with them???
I also noticed he didn't use his 'freedom' pass, so who 'coughed up' for that.
A publicity gimmick.

Let him try the tube in the rush hour, strap hanging, with someones sweaty armpit next to his nose
They were given oyster cards...
If I was a prince.....you would not see me travelling on a bloody tube.

Good on him........I think.

I would go straight back to the palace, have a shower, have a change of clothes....a glass of Louis Roderer.....sit back..........and have a bloody good laugh.
Me to sqad..lol....
Sqad...you forgot to mention him having a flunkey to run his shower, dress him, pour his glass of Louis R etc xx
Mrs_O......no! no!....that is standard accessories.........didn't think that i needed to mention that....;-)
And squeeze toothpaste out...lol
I wonder if he wipes his own bottom?
it;s odd that no one mentions any of the good works he is involved in, just prepared to *** him off for daring to travel on the tube, which he was invited to do, to celebrate it's 150 years, so not sure why all the criticism.
Perhaps he doesn't go out to buy a paper, or pint of milk every day, but he is our next King, whether that sits well with some or not, it's an indisputable fact, unless of course he goes before the Queen.
Don't be daft.Mrs_O.....if you are a prince, you don't have a bottom... don't you know anything?
Em, he is the most profligate of the Royals - funded mainly by us taxpayers
"Thanks for sharing..."
