Actually, I am not against gay marriage, anything but.
However, I would have thought that there were far more important things for the consideration of Parliament as to the economy, defence and a sensible energy policy, given that the nuclear programme appears to be in shreds and Centrica are thinking of exiting UK future invesments and giving back £2bln (or was it £20bln) to shareholders. Not exactly encouraging jobs is it.

Or rewarding married couples (straight or gay) tax-wise, a promise in the manifesto that has not been honoured yet, and is not to be in the next budget. They should have bundled it up with that, if they are going to change the law, link the two and say that they had to tackle this as a precursor to giving the break a few weeks later........
I bet the divorce lawyers are now rubbing their hands, since it is a known fact that homosexuals partnerships last a much shorter time than heterosexual ones.
