Is It Time To Put Page 3 To Bed?
It's been many, many years since I've read The Sun - so much so, that I'd forgotten about the Page 3 'stunnas'.

Is it now time, as Rupert Murdoch seems to be hinting, that Page 3 (as it currently is) be consigned to history?

It is time to stop young women displaying their charms in this manner, it seems old fashioned now, although I think there will be quite a few young hopefuls out there who still like to ogle every day. The daily 'stunnas' are also collecting a few quid for their pictures and will most likely miss the publicity. It's probably the only reason the newspaper sells, that, the easy crosswords and last weeks news.

I'm not sure that page three is now the best choice for young aspiring...lets call them 'models'.
With so many augmented reality shows (TOWIE, Geordie Shore, Made In Chelsea, The Valleys etc), plus all those Premier League players, surely the are now better career opportunities for these ladies?
And it all seems so...old fashioned. Very Robin Askwith...!

you talk of young women displaying thier charms in the sun, well I have been getting really annoyed at the one's that appear on sports programs, not naked agreed but why are they there?to give men the idea that women are a sport? they are to be seen with darts players ( who seem to ignore them) and at speedway meetings, why? and to be honest if these young women heard what some of the crowd think of them they would curl up and die with embarrassment, I don't get thier reasons for wanting to be in that position.
They've probably already been on those shows sp, and they won't make any regular money out of it unless they are 'discovered' by some sad footballer.
I agree it's all nudge, nudge, wink, wink stuff, but there are still likely to be some socially inept people out there who will stick one of the 'models' on the wall. Was Robin Askwith the window cleaner?
