And there is a quid pro quo. If the Press co-operate when they want some time alone, then they are more forthcoming when the media want photo shoots and interviews.

What is privacy? I can say with some confidence that I have captured strangers in the background of some of my photos which I have subsequently published. The same has almost certainly happened to me. Fortunately the level of interest in seeing me in a bikini is mercifully low, Royalty & Celebrities don't share my anonymity though.

Apparently these photos were taken by another guest staying on Mustique. The publications that bought them were not British and therefore not subject to a D Notice.

With an unregulated internet there is no privacy.

So is it alright for those on the beach to see the couple - but not for those who were not on the beach ?

Few realise that very soon no one will have any privacy, the skies will be full of flying robots; pilotless drones or UAVS (Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles) all programmed to carry out different tasks. The tiniest drones on the market now are called MAVS (Micro Air Vehicles) equipped with camera eyes. This isn't science fiction I'm afraid, it's fact .
