Hi 4361 - finally bought in actual fact Amazon gave me the song for nothing and I got it up on their site and played jason on the amazon site. Now I am stuck for burning it - I did bring up free burning sites blah blah and tried to drag it over but Amazon stopped the dragging - was able to get it on to desktop and again tried but the burning sites said there was no track there. Any more info - thanks

What is your operating system? Windows XP, Windows 7, something else?

On your desktop, right click on the song and click 'properties'. What does it say?

first of all I think it is Windows XP - just jooked at properties and at top was like an URL you know gobbledegook

You have Windows Media Player. Open it.

Start - all programs - Windows Media Player

If it's only 185 bytes it can't be a music file. (Indeed it can hardly be anything at all except, possibly, just the icon representing a music file).

If you've got Windows Media Player on your PC (with version 9 or later, which is quite likely if you're running XP) you can burn audio CDs without even opening the software.

Simply ensure that the music file is visible on your screen. (i.e. open the folder that it's in or have it displayed on your desktop). Place a blank CD into the drive and accept the option that appears allowing you to display its contents. (Since there's nothing on it, that will just open an empty window). Drag the music file into that window and accept the option to burn an audio CD (not a data one). Job done.

Guys you know you will kill me - went back to Amazon and can't get the music track onto the desk - buen you are right it is only the name of the track not the actual music - this will be the last promise you - if you have an answer will follow through if not will email 4361 - thanks too 4361

Am so happy to windows media - will promise you will start an advanced or rather basic course of computers in Sept - I have left work 10 years now and was a typing manager of 22 girls who kept me in line with the latest technology so now I have nobody - oh poor me.
