Is this typical Guardian reporting on some university scare tactic report, all part of the reason that some are a little slow in addressing this growing problem, in case they are also branded of being members of Far-Right organisations such as the EDL or the BNP?

No need for sarcasm sandyRoe.
Not sarcasm, just a joke to lighten the day.
Not much of a joke, but a joke nevertheless

Dont thank me - I should be working
To some it may be perceived as using concerns about gangs to fuel anti-Islam agenda, to others it may be perceived as raising awareness of Islamic sex-grooming gangs. Take your pick.

Well that's a heck of a spin you put on that AOG!

The Kings College researchers are actually reporting on the scare tactics used by the EDL aren't they.

I am glad you recognise that the EDL are a far right organisation though.

The very fact you describe this as a 'growing problem' is interesting as this is exactly what the EDL are trying to get people to think according to this report.

It's quite easy for a small group of people to talk up a small event these days into a big noise in the media and the internet.

So let me ask you why you say it's a growing problem - as opposed to a problem that been talked aboiut a lot?

A small event????????????????? where have you been?

After a quick google search, this is only a small selection of the problem , there are many more, in fact only last week another two were jailed.

If you want to denegrate an eintire fiath / culture / nation / organisation etc. it is really easy to do.

Simply pick out the extreme behaviour of apparent members of the faith / culture etc, and use it to foster the idea that this is the behaviour of all such individuals.

If you extrapolate that argument, you come up with the EDL stance - some Muslims groom young girls for sex - therefore all Muslim men are sexual predators and they should be exported, preferable after castration.

It is standard scare tactics, it works on uneducated ill-informed fearful minds, and it is fundamentally wrong.

If the EDl want a target for religious evil - why don't they look a little closer to home - every Catholic priest is a child-abusing sodmite? Why? because a minority are convicted as such, so it must be all of them.

But taking a stance against native white religion may not prove quite such an easy target, even though it is every bit as valid, if hate-stirring is what gets you through the day.

Self-rigteousness is a very very dangerous concept, and it's a cornerstone of the EDL.

If that is the label they must endure for protesting about issues that some wish to sweep under the carpet, then so be it.

Is it any different to being called a racist, a homophobic or sexist, if one dares to criticise in any way an ethnic minority, an homosexual, or a person of the opposite sex and sometimes the bigot label is also often used, all in the attempt to frighten one into silent submission.

You contradict your argument Andy:

The EDL stance being 'SOME' Muslims groom young girls for sex

Therefore not' 'ALL' Muslim men are sexual predators.

And where does that statement 'they should be exported, preferable after castration' come from, except in Andy's mind?

Scare tactics indeed.
Right - so what you've done is what you always do

You cherry pick cases of the particular racial group you're trying to denegrate and ignore other cases where they don't meet your racial profile.

how about this lot?

Would you agree we have a growing problem of white paedaphiles?

Are you going to make racial assumptions about the tendency of all these white paedaphiles?

No? thought not!

Regarding the "native white religion" by that I presume you falsely mean the Roman Catholic religion (seeing that you referred to their priests), there are plenty of ABers who are prepared to label them all 'child-abusing sodomites' how is that any difference from what you and others are accusing the EDL of?
