I cannot remember where I saw it so, sorry no link, but I did read that they are very picky about organ donation and at the time I read it, they wouldn't take the organs from people unless they had been layn in hospital being kept alive in the rigth way.
There is, apparently, enough organ donors they just don't harvest them. camapign for more donors but also campaign for them to harvest from the people already registered.

I am a registered donor- have been for a long time.
As the prvious thread and Mrs-O suggested, it is true that those most vocal in opposing any change in the law regarding organ donation, and those least represented as donors are the more fundamental religious organisations- but many would appear to be perfectly happy to receive an organ if needed. That seems more than a little hypocritical, to me.
If you would be willing to accept an organ to save your life, then you should be prepared to donate an organ in the event of your own death.....
