She said: 'I’m not a terrorist. I’m just a middle-aged woman who made a jokey remark. I’d like to chuck an egg at him but I’d never do it. I’m just unhappy I can’t find more work.'

Two detectives knocked on her door in Ramsgate the day before the ceremony and said they had been hunting her for four weeks.
She said they had looked through her Facebook site, and tried an old mobile phone number and former address.

A Kent Police spokesman said officers monitored Facebook ahead of Cameron’s visit and had responded to information that someone was going to throw an egg. //

But if they ignored it and she did throw it and hit him and it emerged that they had prior intelligence, that would also have been wrong!

I do agree however that it cost a lot of money to prevent DC. getting egg on his face.

Personally I would rather save the money and take my chances, its hardly any great danger!

I remember seeing Mandelson splattered with flower or some other substance.....this isn't funny.
