No, the answer is (c) - you don’t give them £100 in the first place. You keep it and spend on goods and services for the people who have paid it in (or better still, let them keep it and spend it as they wish on themselves). However, I digress. I thought I’d let the dust settle a little before expanding further on my disappointment. That way all the accusations...
I'm sure those who coaxed her into writing this book would be profiting too. By the time she's finish paying everyone involved she won't have much left for herself.
No, the Pakistani government (not Afghan) have paid for her treatment and her school fees. I bet she'll keep back some of the money to promote the cause of women's education in her native country. Good for her.
At risk of being labelled this that or whatever, I was wondering why she and her family were all here from the start of this, so at this point I'm cautiously with Chilldoubt and New judge. Educate me.
She and her family would all be in danger back in Pakistan. There is medical treatment available here that wouldn't be on offer in her homeland.
As for her book, I doubt if she's been paid £2 million to write it. If it sells very well she might make that amount. But I doubt it will.
I'm not begrudging her any treatment whatsoever but as she has benefited greatly from the NHS, (regardless of who pays for it) and she is now being educated here at a rather plush school and her family are now resident in the UK I'm just asking that maybe a small portion of any monies she gains as a result of her misfortune may go towards the health, housing and education costs.
Of course he is, I was just wondering why the public mention of "apparent joy" when that wasn't in the OP.
None of my posts suggest non-allowance of anything - that's for the fascists of AB.
there are no fascists on AB, and i wish you would stop saying it, it's an opinion expressed by NJ, one of which i am sure some share. I am glad she has recovered sufficiently, but had hoped that one day she would be able to return to Pakistan, that of course may be unlikely.
