I'm have difficulty trying to understand this.............

Investigations are continuing after a teenage girl was raped by two men on a double decker bus in Glasgow.

A woman and two men came to the girls' aid. They all left the bus two stops along from Silverburn.

"The driver ejected the two males in question sometime later in the journey - this was due to separate unruly behaviour."

It beggars belief.

There are a few things that I don't understand either.

A girl on a late-night bus who was only 14. Why didn't people that came to her rescue dial 999 on their Mobiles ?
I can't understand why the people who helped her put her on another bus instead of calling the police or why the bus driver who must've been told what had happened didn;t radio into the bus depot and ask for the police to liase at the next stop.
It says the men "were very loud and using crude and lewd comments to other passengers. "....yet no one heard a girl being raped? Did a violent assault happen silently and in stillness?

I can't get my head round any of it.
They rape a young girl, but are not thrown off the bus until they commit some 'separate unruly behaviour'

Clearly more to this than meets the eye!
It does seem that there might be more to the story.

Some women freeze when they are sexually attacked.
that an odd story, why weren't the police phoned straight away - by the rescuers??
Maybe they didn't know she'd been raped.
Or didn't know she claimed to have been raped.
hmmmmmm
I can't see why the other passengers didn't intervene before it got to the actual act of rape, or ran downstairs to tell the driver.
if i was on a bus when a young woman has been attacked i would call the police
They might not have known.

Her friend, also 14, went up to see her and raised the alarm with passengers downstairs.
But it doesn't say if her friend witnessed her being raped.

It seems that her friend witnessed the lads hassling her and went to get help. No one would not phone the police if they knew she'd been raped.
no idea, but can I just point out that I don't have a mobile and couldn't call the police, and it's just possible that others are the same position
I haven't read all of this in detail but I wondered why the two girls were sitting downstairs and the "raped" girl went upstairs on her own. Have I got that right?
Of course, she may not have been Raped as in penetration by a male, I hear these days that a "serious" sexual assault can also be classed as rape. Im not really sure how rape is defined now!
Yes. Maybe they had words.

It would make more sense if the headline contained the word 'Allegedly'

Puzzling.
