Shari, as stated, I was in three blocks of, mostly Muslim, foreigners in Chelsea and Fuham. They were all well off and some were professionals as well. Strangely, I only sold each flat and moved on to the next because others offered me good profit and I felt like a change; I am like that, cultural; but it never concerned me that they had different religion, colour, or practices to mine (dismaying as mine often are). I had trouble with the handful of few, white, old resident, Hyacinth Bucket types, with their strange ideas of what ' proper' people did, who, notoriously but typically, were only pacified by the belief (in their minds) that I and my family had the background and status which they aspired to. It's a rubbish attitude and far more alien to me than they're being a Muslim, and not British, white, Christians, would ever have been.
That's why I ask why the objection to immigrant neighbours. To me, a good many British are objectionable, but I wouldn't move because of it.
