Gromit, I can only presume that you were also able to shrug off the beheading of Ken Bigley and all the other innocent hostages who have suffered the same horrendous fate at the hands of fanatical religious madmen. War is war, and war brings casualties on all sides. This was not war. It was cold blooded murder carried out in the most horrific and barbaric way...

/Have it your way Zeuhl, it's patently obvious that the opinion of the man in the street doesn't register with you./

Chill

you appear to not 'get it'

I am a professional market researcher

My firm speaks to the 'man in the street' every day

I am currently writing a report for a client which is a national brand in which my team have interviewed over 700 Builders and DIYers all over the UK

The difference is, I understand that you chatting to half a dozen of your colleagues (whilst i'm sure you are lovely people with interesting views) is statistically meaningless by itself as a representation of the British population

OK?
I am a professional market researcher

That's just about right, Do your research it the terrorist Country's that you seen to love, reality is in the street not looking at your hand held board.

What?
TWR

what on earth are you blathering about?

do you know?

because i'm not sure anyone else does
Chill, your Farting in the wind with this " Oh" forgot to say, Market Researcher, you know, everything out there is bright & cheerful.

Sorry...lol
TWR

you're doing your credibility no favours at all with those semi-literate, rambling messages
How often do you go out & see the world for what it is Ummmm? I see the world in reality! It seem you & a few other do not, start reading the news.
Your view of the 'world' is coming across increasingly narrower with your every post TWR.
Chillout,

If you are about to drop a huge bomb on people below you should be sure that children are not there. This has occurred so many times and children have killed so many times that it is clear that the safeguards are non existant or are completely ignored. Has the person who pressed the button annilation 11 youngsters been relieved of his duties for not making sure. No.
TWR

let's just check our understanding here;

do you think you 'see the world for what it is' because you 'go out'?

or because you are 'reading the news'

It's worrying you don't seem to distinguish between them

And disturbing that you think you have an enhanced ability over others to 'see the world in reality'

Has the doctor given you any pills and if so, are you taking them?
Question Author
TWR...what are you on about?

I see the world for what it is. I'm probably more in touch with reality than you!
poor bloke has his life horribly taken and all you lot want to do is bicker PATHETIC!!
agreed, however some don't see that those who plant bombs on streets, or blow themselves up as suicide bombers, kill innocent men, women and plenty of children. Why do you not see that Gromit.
You've very little or a actually no experience of HM Forces and how they operate, have you Gromit?

And not to denigrate the seriousness of the death of children, often the claims of the amount of casualties is often open question. As I said and as you know, air strikes of this nature are not aimed specifically at children, as you well know.

Zeuhl,
How often during your 'market research' do you get the view of the man on the street on subjects of this nature?
As I said, insular and detached. OK?
Gromit, one death does not negate another, but there’s a very distinctive line to be drawn between war and hacking a man to death with a meat cleaver in the street in cold blood - and then chopping off his head.

Pixi, //They seemed to be wanting to fight in the name of Islam but didn't seem to be prepared to die in the name of Islam doing it.//

Oh, I think they were hoping to die at the hands of the police. They made no effort to escape. Just think, martyred for the cause and the culprits the British police! What heroes they would have been. Unfortunately for them, they survived.
which is what i also said on the other thread, martyrs to the cause, and more police perhaps in the dock. Its a truly shocking crime...
Why is it so hard to accept that people whose job it is to gauge pubic opinion might actually know how to go about doing that?
