Mad Over Fifties Club

Come on in! Nungate Towers is open for another meeting of AB's Mad Over Fifties! With Queenie and Best Beloved away in Cardiff it's been a struggle to get things organised for tonight's meeting.
As we have another lovely summmer evening, we'll be having most of tonight's meeting out of doors, the fountains are throwing up huge jets of water, all over the gardens the fairy lights will be lighting our evening, the maze is open (a guide is available) there are rowing boats down at the lake, and a marquee is set up on the east lawn, where we have a delicious buffet all set up. Tonight the Tailcock will be the Lost Kitty, named in honour of Queenie's little ginger cat Henry who has been wandering around the Towers like, well, a lost cat! His companion Max is in the cattery (don't ask) and he is missing his human Mummie and I just won't do, despite me putting the grand prix on the tv so he could look for her in the crowd .... (after Barca played of course) For those who wish to remain indoors the hot tub is bubbling away and the mini bar stocked, the minstrels will be on hand to play their usual madrigals and toccattas, and of course all the usual amenities are available to be enjoyed by our members. Our favourite local band The Tone Deafs will be playing in the marquee, and we also have as a special treat, a string quartet playing Mozart's greatest hits in the grotto, (follow the path by the lake, and on past the old oak tree carry on and it's on your left just by the path leading to the beach)
Sadly Queenie had some bad news during the grand prix as her favourite rider came off in a nasty collision and had to be taken to hospital with a suspected broken collar bone - I'm sure she'll get over it, as will he!
So come on down everybody and have a lovely evening!
A warm welcome awaits all who dare enter here
Carriages at midnight.

Riffle:
One lawn mower spark plug
One litre of diesel
One bottle of Aga soot - yes the man is needed
One broken lawn mower blade
A bucket of grass clippings from the mud patch
One sou
One Dutch Guilder - and for Daisy
some thumb that I found in a dyke - Tony, behave.
One Van Gogh ear
And for Lady J, a paintbrush.
Minty can have the clematis snipping.

Evening to you nungate and Igor. Running late again. Cant wait for the fairy lights.
Igor, remembered your rock, sorry you were busy last week. How did it go?
Two sticks of rock from Poole. Pink one mint flavoured, yellow one fruity. Hope you enjoy them. Don't forget to clean your teeth.
For the rifle I have a plastic duck, a pair of twisted tweezers, a shrimping net and a grapefruit knife. Used to love grapefruit.
May I have a Lost Kitty? Perhaps Malkin could have a quiet miauw with queenie's pet.

Good evening Madame Daisy, lovely to see you again. I'm sorry that I was absent last week and missed you , family committments and all that. The rock is lovely, I shall out it with my other geological samples.
Would you care for a Lost Kitty? The buffet is open, please feel free to avail yourself of it's delights.
Your usual DT sir? Or shall I raid the cellar again?

the club is in 'phrases & sayings tonight, for a refreshing change
good evening hostess
i am only passing through tonight, as i have far too much to do, and i cannot commit the time to properly spend on here as i would like - (sad face)
there was also a post for you earlier from murraymints, she announced she was going out for the evening and was uncertain whether she could return in time to put in an appearance - so, apologies for absence from her too
have a great evening tonight, and my best regards to tony, DTC and all the others
Evening Excel. I spotted the post from Minty when I finally got myself organised and logged on. Was watching the football from the Camp Nou, interspersed with the speedway - I got a call from Queenie telling me that they were sitting about ten feet from a camera! What she expected me to do I wasn't sure! But Barca won 4-1 and ended the season with 100 points! Been on my own all day and can't think what I haven't been doing ... none of the things I'd planned to
Good evening all, must say that I didn't expect to see Igor on duty tonight !, however for the roffle I have 6 Bic lighters ( all of them empty and refillable ) One can of Pepsi all the way from Santa Pod ( gone flat ) and two 225, 47 17'' tyres ( both bald ).
A bucket of the Lost Kitty if you please, Igor.

I'm glad Eric will be on hand to keep an eye on them Daisy.
I can relate to you and your mum's cooking DT. It'ds not that mine was a bad cook, she wasn't very inventive - she once made a shepherd's pie foolishly my brother and I told her it was good, we got it till it was coming out of our ears, I remember her asking him what he'd like for dinner one day, he said he didn't mind but to leave the shepherd out on the hill!
