Even in your link they are neither standing up for the British workers or criticising them, it is merely a report on a radical reform of employment law being considered by David Cameron.

AOG - I wouldn't argue with the examples given in your second paragraph, but Bercow was answering questions about immigration to the the UK, not from it.

Jake - yes we must. Disenfranchisement is indeed an issue.
There is something to be said for the Speaker resigning from his constituency on appointment.

I occasionally deliver professional training sessions to groups of 20+ for 8 hours

and I have in the past spent 8 hours a day loading and unloading trucks

I can tell you which is the most demanding and tiring - and it isn't the latter

i thought i would get better acquainted with Speaker Bercow. interesting perhaps, it is wiki so who knows whether completely accurate.

Bercow was born to a British Jewish family in Edgware, Middlesex.[2] His paternal grandparents were Jews who arrived in Britain from Romania a century ago.
