Baldric. I suspect our politics are somewhat opposite to each other. But if
"things never have been better under Labour" why did they win three consecutive elections in 1997, 2001 and 2005 ?
And why, if Labour were so unpopular, could Cameron not manage an outright victory in 2010 ? He had an open goal in the shape of Gordon Brown but he still needed the Liberals in order to form a Government.
To read what some people say here on AB, you could be forgiven to come away with the conclusion that the Tories have been in power for the last 100 years !
One last question. If Labour are so awful, why are they a clear 10 points ahead of the Tories in almost every opinion poll in the last 2 years ?
All this doesn't sound like a party that is so awful that nobody is going to vote for them does it ? We may argue about what the main parties may do in the future, and I suspect we will, but the historical record shows that Labour has won handsomely in the past and can do so again.
