To all those interested this is yet another newspaper I read, and it is amazing that even Greece seem to have a Mosque problem.
/// The Pakistani, named Muhammed Zafeer says:
/// “Greece has to decide if it will be democratic or if it will go back to the Middle Ages” as he shrugs. ///
/// This quote is ridiculous on so many levels because first, if Greece was operating democratically, the decision to build a mosque would be voted on by Greeks, Greeks would overwhelmingly vote NO. Secondly, Greeks spent a good portion of the Middle Ages defending themselves against genocide by Muslims and after that had to deal with 400 years of Occupation under
them. ///
/// The situation of the Middle Ages has already returned! ///

I would surmise that they are behind the Athens one too.
This is familiar though - who invested in all those churches in South, Central America as well as other opulent establishments in Africa and the Far East - aah yes, it was called the Catholic Church. Not much difference then between the major two one-God religions then?

I did not say the Daily Mail's readers are all conservative. I said all its readers would know it supports the Conservatives. I read the Telegraph which is also a conservative supporting newspaper. I know it is Conservative when I read it. I cannot imagine being a regular reader of the EU Times and not realise it was extreme right wing.

Ha ha...brilliant.
Just brilliant.
The E.U. Times!!!
I cannot tell you how much that tickled me. Y'see, I've heard of it...a mate of mine is a journalist, and we were discussing Levenson and how when push comes to shove, or newspapers aren't that bad. I argued that The Daily Mail (online) was toilet paper, and he argued that it was a shining beacon of journalistic integrity compared to The E.U. Times and sent me a couple of links.
I accepted that he won the argument.
...and now I see that AOG reads it.
I know it's childish in the extreme - but I find that quite amusing.
Any...way...umm...nothing much to contribute. Think I'll wait for a home-grown anti Muslim story. Not really sure why we need concern ourselves about something happening in Greece.
