I don't think so...because the author if this piece is Amanda Platell, a woman who could not be further from what I would call a feminist if she tried.

Also, it's in the Daily Mail - not a publication well known as a hotbed of feminist ideals.

Lastly, I don't think it's feminism rearing it's head, ugly or otherwise, I think it's Ms Platell's desperate need to fill her weekly 750 words.
