Tuesday was the birthday of my girlfriend, Fingers, whom I have known for the best part of 40 years - indeed we were engaged to be married back in 1974 only to have the relationship broken up by family interference. Anyway we met again a couple of years ago, after the premature passing of Sylvia, and our relationship began to blossom again. Well, I am pleased to announce that I put a huge smile on her face when I, once again, asked her if she would be Mrs WelshYorkie - SHE ACCEPTED - WOOOO HOOOO. No need to rush out for a new outfit or a new hat as it may be a while before the wedding plans are in place.
Rowan - I am so happy about Red - no, WE are so happy about Red. I'd also like to thank you for all your support over the last couple of years - and the muffins you've baked us!!
Sometimes you just have to go with the chances life brings even if the timing is wrong I just think sometimes you just have to take a step into the unexpected .... I just saw no harm where others might
Best part of the last couple of days is that Sylvia's dad met Fingers yesterday and they hit it off straight away. He has a collection of keyrings from around the world and you know when you've been accepted when he offers you to see the collection - Fingers was given the offer and it brought a lump to my throat.
