What would you be doing? I'd love to be cooling off in an outdoor swimming
pool. Are there many outdoor pools that exist in the UK now?

London have a few!
More than you'd think, Cupid. MrG and I built one in the last garden..well I dug it out because I love big machinery...well bigish..then we both built it.
Skinny dipping at midnight with a bottle of wine at each end of the pool was a nice game....til next door put floodlights in their garden...;-)
Now...I would like to be sewing in my workroom listening to a good play. x
There is one in Peterborough, Cupid. Unfortunately, I am pre-disposed to intensely dislike public swimming pools. (Other people and their hygiene habits or lack thereof).

If I could do anything right now - I think I'd be sat in the gardens of one of my favourite hotels, overlooking the sea and the Isle of Arran, sipping a Pimms and reading a good book while Mr BM and son of Mr BM play on the beach.
Ahhhh...you meant public swimming pools?
I'm with Barmaid on that which is why I wanted a little one of my own.... x
The nearest one to me is in Tooting Bec.
used to go to one in Abingdon when i was growing up, although i cant think of any down where I live now! quite a few outdoor paddling pools!

Right now i'd like to be lying on the beach with a good book or just sat watching the world go by
Without a shadow of a doubt I'd be running into the sea from a beach in Menorca with my lilo and snorkel. OH would have the picnic ready for when I get out.
I haven't really thought about what I'd like to be doing right. Just happy doing nothing really.

Well if anyone out there has their own private outdoor pool, I'd be happy to house-sit for a week or two while you went on your holidays!
i would like to be somewhere sunny, near the sea but in the shade chilling with a good book and really nice food and drink to nibble on. I really fancy one of these

outdoor swimming pools for public use are called Lidos. We have a couple round here. Cant say I've been to either of them as I cant swim!
Pack my bags, leave my house and never come back.
bad day?
I would like to be driving a Routemaster bus.

I have recently added that to my bucket list.
There's an outdoor heated swimming pool in Stonehaven. Only open during the summer months.
If could be doing anything I would be buying a new house.
barmaid do you live in Arran, not far from Rothesay ,my home town
No Slinky. I live in Peterborough but Scottyland is my favourite place in the whole world. We regularly visit the West Coast (Saltcoats, Ardrossan and Seamill) because that is where Mr BM comes from and he still has family there. We normally stay at the Seamill Hydro - the gardens extend to the beach. It's lovely.

I want to be there NOW!
