"Alleged terrorist", and also "human". The ECHR favours humans. Difficult as it might be for you to believe, terrorists are humans too.

So he was detained at the request of the Americans and we have been paying for his incarceration and court proceedings ever since.

If he has done anything, put him on trial. If he is convicted, the American authorities can interview him. Otherwise he is innocent and we should let him go.

The British case against him is that he phone the 7/7 bombers an hour before their attack. GCHQ will have records, so why has he never been prosecuted in this country.

We hold someone for 8 years without trial and then whinge when we lose court case after court case and the cost.

Just put him before a jury. Let us the British public decide if he is guilty, not the intelligence agency of a foreign country.
