so you putting someone who is incapable of looking after themselves into a drunk tank is a good idea? i think its dangerous
i do agree that people who are putting a strain on resources by getting drunk and causing problems for the police and or a&e should be made to pay. I'm don't think drunk tanks are a good idea, there are too many things that could go wrong

for me the drunk tank is worse as we don't know how this is to be managed and by who (ignoring the gutter) the police cell and overworked a&e have a degree of assumed security/professional care

i have no idea, a holding cell of some sort with drunk people in it
I'm concerned about the safety of people in them, whether its their own fault or not. I agree that people who go out and get smashed and cause trouble or are out of control should pay for their care/help. but without more info i don't think drunk tanks are the right idea
