Jesus I've just had a right doing over by a mob of angry thugs. Like a pillock I dropped my ipod touch (whilst on my bike) and went back out to look for it. Ended up getting into a barny with about 15 people. I'm going to have some serious bruises in the morning. I can't believe what just happened. I was trying to ring baby_cham and the next minute I'm getting pushed into the bushes by about 4 lads.

I hate violence but I tell you what the adrenaline is still pumping. I didn't want to come back on here for a while because I get upset by some things that people say but I thought I had to. I hope baby_cham is ok. I really enjoyed talking to her and then she just went.

I've just took on 15 lads and lasses. Don't worry I didn't hurt any of the lasses.

I'm glad I bought that bottle of vodka earlier. Yes I know I shouldn't be drinking but I've been on edge lately as you know. I'm not going to make excuses for drinking but I will say that it will help the pain I'm going to be suffering later.

I've email my mate who is a PC in the area, I'm going to see him tomorrow and give him some details.

Oh diz. Glad to see you back anyway. Babysham's phone lost charge and she's left her charger somewhere. I hope you can see on other recent threads, there is a lot of genuine care and concern for you here- even if we're sometimes clumsy in the way we say things. I hope you have someone there to keep an eye on you, if you're hurt?

I don't need A&E, my pride is shot though. I do appreciate everything you have all done. Sorry if I seem short but I'm kind of tired now. I've had loads of issues the the steel suppliers as well but it is all sorted now. The bastards have had my Ipod though.

I had to make a min order of £75 ex VAT. I contacted Skz to tell her about this issue and she kindly offered to send me some money. Skz lives in Australia and I didn't really want her putting any money up front. Luckily my mum managed to get some money together to make the min order. The 316L 6mm x 3000 bar is only about £8 a length so I've had to buy £75 worth. I only need £24 worth.

I've had to open an account with them which required trade references. Bare in mind I've not traded as Rhapsody In Steel for over a year and don't have references. Before you ask - no; you can't purchase without an account.

So I finally gets it sorted and goes round to collect the 8 lengths (no point just getting 3 for the same price) and stand looking at 14 lengths of 6000mm RE-BAR (the stuff in concrete bridges). After standing there and wanting to cry or kill someone I put my hand on my head and said "no, no, no this isn't fu**ing happening". The guy said "there must be a problem somewhere, why not contact your gaffa". I said "I can't, I can't contact my gaffa because I am the gaffa, there is only me and at the moment I'm slowing losing the will to live and I NEED this steel today". It took 3 people to calm me down because I was on the verge of a breakdown. I was ready to start balling my eyes out.

Then after 30minutes they load 14 lengths of 6mm round bar onto my mums car. I didn't want 14 lengths For Funks Sake. I've got to pay for them... I haven't a clue what they are going to charge me but I at least have enough for skz job. If anyone wants any bamboo then tell me because I have enough round bar to do 14 stems now :/

I've got to send it to Firmachrome for pickling and electropolishing which will take about 3-5 days ((I hope, sods law it will take 20 years) oh yes ye of oh little faith dizmo). I will however know by monday exactly how much it weighs and the cost of delivery. I will take photographs of it before, and after, it goes to Firmachrome and send them to you.

skz, I won't accept any money from you until I can't fund it myself. The only help I might need is for the postage.

I actually had my mum laughing earlier.

I said to her... "If Dave from Manchester asked for me to commission a piece of bamboo would you ask him for £100 up front?,", "yeah Dave giv'us 100 quid first".

Until I've made the pieces I won't accept any money.
