Its Seems Ok For Muslims....
...to be able to preach hatred outside Mosques in the UK and try to disrupt our soldiers marching through Towns but, when one person makes a comment on FB she could face prosecution.
I know it was a stupid thing to do but surely it works both ways!

/// The police and Home Office said they were unsure if laws had been broken by allowing Bakri to address the four-hour meeting. And they could not confirm if Choudary, 41, who rents the room for £78 an hour for his new group Islam For The UK, was being investigated for his own words. ///

// Could one call a person who 'bad mouthed' persons of the Catholic faith, also a 'RACIST'? //
Yes it would. But just plain 'bigot' might be more appropriate.
Race is not just defined by geography or biology.
// race is sometimes used interchangeably with people., People refers to a body of persons united usually by common interests, ideals, or culture //

Indeed sp
Also' we seem to have confirmed that:
people who chanted nasty things at our soldiers were prosecuted and fined
people who are 'preaching hate' in private have MI5 (including Muslim operatives) on their case
someone who posts something silly on facebook will probably receive a warning
Hooray! It's jolly old Blighty.

I wonder if Mrs Nutt gets the irony at all of her text to Mrs Turay?
In it she said " How dare you post something from my page! Its called freedom of speech in my country OK? I can post what the [bleep] I like. And yes, my opinions are extreme. But thats my decision. Not yours to broadcast."
In addition to being an unpleasant and extreme sentiment, this text shows several failures of comprehension.
First, we do have free speech in this country, and she exercised it. But that free speech comes with consequences. As well as a right of free speech there are obligations and responsibilities that come with it, one of which is that if you voice hate, or shout fire! in a crowded assembly, there are consequences that go along with that - such as being investigated by the police, and possibly even being charged.
Second - that same rights/responsibilities issue translates directly across to social media. And Facebook and Twitter will have rules of their own as to what constitutes acceptable comment, which people would be wise to read up on.
Third - If you publicly post something, you yourself are broadcasting it, and therefore it becomes public domain and anyone else can do exactly the same as well.
People really do not seem to get social media at all. Writing stuff on Facebook or Twitter is akin to walking down a busy high street, and, upon seeing a group of friends at the other end of the street, whipping out your trusty megaphone to shout out whatever opinions or gossip or tedious life trivia you imagine your friends might be interested in , whilst at the same time scribbling that same message on every wall you walk past, in this case like the jottings of some demented and vicious graffiti artist.

if you care to read back the comments on the post by sandyr, he wondered why there was no feedback on that boat disaster and some of the abers expressed their wonder at the people who set fire to a rag to attract attention, which promptly set fire to the boat, also someone threw the compass overboard, there was little or no sympathy on that thread if you read it, not much difference really
