Gosh, I can remember when we got paid for shooting squirrels. That worked well ! Hardly see more than 200 a week.
This badger cull has defects 1) it is incompetently carried out 2) it'll never be perfect 3) the effect on TB in cattle will be nowhere near significant enough 4) they are killing one of favourite animals (aah!) 5) the scientific evidence doesn't seem conclusive (maybe that is just me but my farmer's feeling, justified by past events, is that if the NFU; which I belong to; is suddenly virulently against something , they are wrong!)
