On a broader note, it's not just Christians, but all the major religions can't seem to let it go?
Why?

Christians, in my view, should be able to say what they want about us homosexuals, and I should be able to say what I want about Christians. At this stage in the argument, it is pretty clear how ridiculously inferior and intellectually bankrupt the religious opposition to homosexuality is. It is plain to anyone with an ounce of intelligence who is right and who is wrong.
That, I suspect, is the answer to your question, SP. The reason that religious conservatives are so up in arms right now is because they are losing so catastrophically

You're absolutely correct and I withdraw my comment about the customers being white. Christian bigots come in all shades, as we know from the evil spouted in a number of African countries, which use the Bible as justification for the persecution of gay people.
But getting back to my original question, why do religious fundamentalists think it's their right to act like this?
In terms of what is really important in the world, shouldn't sexual attraction be rather lower down on their 'to do list'?

I understand your point, but look at the language they used:
“Thank you for your service, it was excellent. That being said, we cannot in good conscience tip you, for your homosexual lifestyle is an affront to GOD. Queers do not share in the wealth of GOD, and you will not share in ours. We hope you will see the tip your f*g choices made you lose out on, and plan accordingly. It is never too late for GOD’S love, but none shall be spared for f*gs. May GOD have mercy on you.”
The word f*g in this context is highly offensive. There was no need for it.
To me, the language speaks of hatred, and was simply unnecessary.
They could have easily written, "Thank you for the great service, however we have strongly held religious beliefs that prevent us from tipping you as we strongly disagree with your lifestyle and do not wish to fund it".
But you know what? It just show what dumb asses they are...by eating at the restaurant and contributing to its profits, they are directly supporting his further employment anyway!
