No it bloody shouldn't. It's beyond ridiculous.
Gness, just wait till you are having that conversation in the supermarket about how much your favourite black drink is and they say they can't tell you or show you from behind the screen it's hidden behind.
Can I see the lovely can?
No.
Can you tell me what price it is?
No, here's a list
Can I ask the strength.
Nope.
It's not far down the road and I will have little sympathy for people who can't see the bigger picture here.
What is wrong with reinforcing the smoking habit? If it's not hazardous to your health and less hazardous to ours, what's the problem?
Well said,Mojo-Jo-Jo. Everything will be banned soon the way things are going, pandering to the minority again, probably.
Thanks Ever. Even the question of it gets my gander up to be honest.
Mojo....I have had that conversation but now use Ecigs which I don't intend to give up.....I enjoy them.

But I don't use them in pubs, restaurants etc.....I just think I look silly... but each to his own.

I have no problem being with friends who still smoke and have been known to pinch one...my giving up was for a health reason. I don't mind friends smoking when they visit.

Sometimes it can be fun buying in a secretive way.....I have given up procuring poteen since it was legalised.....now maybe if the black drink was banned the thrill would return......☺
We really do live in a nanny state. Smoking Ban. Minimum pricing on alcohol suggested. Taxing fizzy drinks. What ever happened to freedom of choice. So there are obese people, is it all down to fizzy drinks. The same goes with alcohol and smoking. Next there will be a gambling tax.
Jezza...no one is stopping us smoking though....just annoying people in some public places with our smelly smoke.
I realise that gness. I can honestly say I never have or would smoke where other people were consuming food. What I was getting at was the tax it or ban it nanny state.
B00 you ask "What is wrong with reinforcing the smoking habit? "

Surely you buy them to help you to give up smoking, not to reinforce the habit? The manufacturers must be laughing their heads off. My daughter and her partner have been smoking them for 20 months now with no sign of stopping. After the horse meat scandal do you really trust that there will not be harmful rubbish stuffed into some of these because I don't.
Done wonders for the pub trade hasn't it !.
Not quite sure where you're going with the horse meat scandal comment ladybirder? There aint no meat in 'em!

I bought them as a means to giving up analogue cigarettes, with no intention of actually stopping inhaling nicotine. I enjoy smoking, and now ive got a way of actually doing so with no harm to those around me and less to myself. I don't intend giving up my ecigs.
Has it tony? Are there more people using pubs then now they can puff on an e-cig?

tonyav

Nope, but the smoking ban hasn't done the pub trade any good, closing left right and centre.
analogue cigarettes BOO?

I thought they were roll-ups.. ;)
How do you know there's no meat in 'em B00 LOL? You can't see what's in them.
My daughter and her partner did buy them as an aid to finish with smoking and they are sort of a bit disappointed that 20 months down the line they are now hooked on e-cigs. I just don't trust that there won't be some harmful rubbish pumped into them by unscrupulous manufacturers.
Dear ToraToraTora,
No to a ban. I believe that nicotine has not been shown to be harmful - otherwise nicotine patches should be banned.
Passive vapour inhalation? Aww where do we stop banning inhalable materials.
Car fumes are far more dangerous surely.
My electronic cig tips glow green showing non-smokers like me they are not real cigs.
Regards,
SIQ.

Nicotine is one of the most deadly substances known to man!
Why do people not read the factual evidence? There is no current evidence as to whether e cigs are or are not damaging to people around them. Therefore, whilst the balance of evidence is 'out' it is safer to ban them.
They are not even held like a real fag .Give it a wee while and some one will come up with stronger one which will get people on a high Have they got brand names yet like embassy egal.benson and edges.
if we ban efags can we also ban Maccy D's on trains and buses as the stink really gets up my nose and I am trying to eat a healthy diet not greasy horsemeat substitute.
